Archive edition

Archive edition

In recognition of the Maserati Tipo 26, the remarkable GP car that first established the legend of the Trident, just twenty-six numbered copies of the museum-quality Archive edition will ever be produced and, in keeping with the bespoke origins of the Maserati marque, no two will be the same.

Leather, linen and solid silver

The two volumes of the Archive edition are hand bound in fine leather and linen by the skilled artisans of Ludlow Bookbinders, each volume having a hallmarked solid silver plaque inset into its front cover. The books are presented in a bespoke dry-milled grained leather ‘tool case’ with an individually numbered identification plate.

Presentation page

The Archive edition package includes a presentation page hand-signed by the noted Maserati collector and Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason, along with race legends Sir Stirling Moss and the late John Surtees, both of whom won world Championship GP’s in Maserati powered cars. Each individual presentation page has been individually hand-illuminated by the eminent calligrapher Sam Burchett, on calfskin vellum produced by William Cowley, suppliers to Hansard.

Original illustration

The Archive Edition package also includes a specially commissioned, original gouache painting by world-renowned motoring artists such as Michael Turner and Dexter Brown, together with a signed, one-off artist’s proof giclee print.
